6 WAYS TO KEEP EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT HIGH WHILE WORKING REMOTELY (PART 3)

GET TOGETHER WITH THE TEAM

In a relationship, this is a no brainer. Unless of course you want the relationship to crash.

You should always want to do fun things in a relationship or things might get boring really fast.

In the world of work, it is not that much different.

It would be great if your remote workers could “link up” occasionally. It could be monthly or quarterly.

Arrange for everyone to get together in-person for lunch or for fun activities like outdoor recreational games.

If the team is too far apart and cannot convene together, you could host a team movie night and stream a film via Netflix Party or other streaming apps.

This is a fun way for team members to get to know each other and socialize outside of the typical work environment.

REWARD EMPLOYEES

There is nothing as uplifting as rewards in a workplace.

When an employee achieves a goal or goes beyond expectations, be sure to reward them.

It is as easy as giving a shout-out for work well done or rewarding them with random gifts.

Never forget, it is the little things that matter. Any form of reward can help to boost the morale of an employee massively. It encourages workers to continue working hard so they can receive rewards too.

Also, it is important to make sure that everyone knows that their contributions are valued and their efforts, appreciated.

Also, if you go out of your way to promise a reward, it is best that you deliver on it. You do not want your remote works doubting your credibility or promises.

You cannot promise your significant other a trip to Dubai for his/her birthday, and when the time comes, you give him/her a high five. You would have high fived your way out of that relationship.

Again with the relationship example right? Maybe I could transition from work as a recruitment expert to work as a relationship expert.
