In the popular cartoon we all watched growing up (Tom and Jerry), there was a character named Butch.
Butch was always battling with Tom for the love of Toodles, the female cat.
In trying to one-up our dear Tom and win the affection of Toodles, he gave her perfume, fancy jewels, clothes, and many more. Basically, anything more than what Tom could offer.
And he almost always got the girl.
Why have I told you about the love triangle involving Tom, Toodles, and Butch, you ask?
Well, It’s because their situation also applies to the recruiter – candidate experience.
If you are trying to hook that top talent, you need to do better than the competition.
One way to do this is by offering more incentives.
Asides offering the bigger paycheck of course, (and definitely not offering perfumes and fancy jewels like Butch),
offer incentives like work flexibility, insurance, work-life balance, etc.
Such incentives will keep people attracted to your organization, thus, helping you to secure the best talent.
